Elizabeth Murray |
Materials: Cardboard, paint, paint brushes, water, magazines, exacto knife, and gesso.
Year: 2015 Class: Art Foundations This art piece was inspired by Elizabeth Murray. A painter who changes her art several times before she is satisfied with her end result. As a class we all made separate shapes then combined them together to form a collage. I call it a "puzzle" because all the separate pieces were put together to make a final picture. I want my viewers to take away that pieces or shapes that weren't made together cana be put into a way to combine one amazing unified picture. |
Nightmares
Materials: charcoal, pencils, micro pens, and markers.
Year: 2015 Class: Art Foundations My Dad inspired me to make this art piece. My Dads favorite holiday is Halloween so I tried to give this piece a edgy feel to it while still trying to tell a story. This piece really made me step out of my comfort zone. I'd never used ink pens or charcoal before. I took a risked and tried to make my piece that catches the audiences eye. The story behind this drawing is that a bunch of nightmares are bursting out this dream catcher because nightmares are to powerful. |
Mr.Ducky's Problems
Materials: Sharpie, pencil, and copy machine.
Year: 2015 Class: Art Foundations This is a zine. It was inspired by my niece who always plays with dolls and gives them their own personality. I made this character to express that childhood imagination and to give inanimate objects character. Mr. Ducky has many struggles such as not being played with and he can't enjoy delicious food. I hope by seeing this piece you get inspired to create. |
They Can't Say Stop
Materials: Paint, cardboard, sharpie, and pencils.
Year: 2015 Class: Art Foundations This piece is to protect against animal abuse. It's a painting of a dog who is blind dog who is covered in blood. The quote says "They can't say stop" which means that the dog can't call for help from its abuser. I was inspired by my dog, Peace, because I love her to death and I would be heart broken to see her hurt. I hope the viewers will take away that it is never right to hit your pet. |
